Space Coast Devs operates space-coast.dev and related community services. This policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it, and the choices available to you.

Information we handle

Most of the public site can be used without creating an account. Our hosting provider may process routine technical information required to deliver the site, such as IP address, browser information, request time, and logs.

If you choose to join the member directory with Discord, we use Discord OAuth to confirm that you are a member of the Space Coast Devs Discord server. We store your Discord ID, username, display name, avatar URL, and the profile information you choose to provide, such as your bio, location, skills, links, and whether your profile is public. We also store an email address only when you provide it for email verification.

If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. The contact form and any third-party link or event-registration service are governed by the relevant provider’s own privacy practices.

How we use information

We use this information to operate and secure the site, verify directory membership, publish profiles you elect to make public, respond to requests, and improve the community’s services. We do not sell personal information.

Public member profiles

Directory details marked public may be visible to anyone who visits the site. Please do not include information you do not want to be publicly available.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the site and its features, including hosting, Firebase/Google Cloud for member-directory data, Discord for sign-in and community membership checks, and an email provider for verification messages. These providers process information as needed to provide their services.

Meta/Facebook integration

Space Coast Devs uses Meta’s APIs solely to manage posts on the Space Coast Devs Facebook Page. The integration uses a Page access token and may read the Page’s identifier, name, and engagement data needed to manage Page posts. It is not used to access visitors’ Facebook profile data or to sell or share Facebook data.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain the member directory, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, including a member-directory profile or Facebook Platform Data, by emailing admin@space-coast.dev. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You can also revoke the Space Coast Devs app’s access in Facebook’s Apps and Websites settings.

Children

Space Coast Devs is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes and contact
